Couche Bakers Cloth is a thick canvas that is used to retain the shape of proofing doughs.

Our Couche Bakers Cloth helps you to maintain the shape of your baguettes and batons whilst proofing.
Simply dust your Couche Bakers Cloth heavily with rye, rice or wheat flour and form ridges or gullies in the cloth (one for each loaf / baguette). Place the shaped baguettes into the fold of your Couche Bakers Cloth and leave to prove.
Once proving is complete carefully remove with a baguette flipping board or peel (a shovel like tool used by bakers) and then slide onto a hot baking stone and put straight into the oven.
Using a cloth is (part of) the traditional French way, to produce that magic crispy bread.
When you break a REAL Baguette, you should hear it go CRACK!

Care Instructions:
Do not wash. Simply scrape clean, dust out or brush after each use. Store dry.
